When I was 13 years old, two unrelated things happened. I purchased my first camera, and I discovered girls. I really didn't know what to do with either of them, but, I soon found out that if I pointed my camera at a girl she was stand still long enough for me to get her name. That shallow use of a young woman's vanity lasted only so long. Weeks later, when I would show them the pictures, that same vanity usually got the pictures torn up or got me threats never to show the pictures to anyone!

Capturing beauty on film was going to be a lifelong quest, but many years would pass between seeing beauty and acquiring the knowledge, attitude and skills (along with a small modicum of luck) to actually capture the essence of nature's beauty on film. With a few overwhelmingly beautiful exceptions I have managed to steer clear of women as photographic subjects and instead stayed with the safer subjects like wild animals and poisonous plants.

Seriously, the best approach with this kind of photography is to seek beauty as often as you can and try to seek it in as many places as possible.

Hope you enjoy these images as much as I did capturing them..... Should you wish to obtain a print or file directly from me, please email your request to BobPliskin@gmail.com
